You don't pay to find out if your photo is valid. The compliance check and the printable sheet are both free. No card, no account.

PassportNinja is a free online tool that formats photos to official passport/ID-photo specifications. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
We apply published size and composition rules and show you the measurements, but acceptance of a photo is always decided by the issuing authority. Requirements also cover things a tool cannot fully judge (lighting, expression, glasses, headwear, photo age). Check your authority's guidelines before submitting. PassportNinja is not liable for rejected applications, fees or delays.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PassportNinja is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service. Files are processed automatically and deleted shortly after; keep your own originals.
You keep all rights to the photo you upload. We don't claim ownership, we don't reuse it, and we don't build any product from it — the only thing that happens to your file is the crop and background swap you asked for, then it's gone (see the privacy policy for the exact deletion timing). Don't upload a photo of someone who hasn't agreed to it — for a child, that means their parent or guardian.
PassportNinja isn't a wrapper around a third-party photo API: the face detection, cropping and print-sheet layout run on hardware we own, not on a rented cloud service. That's worth stating here because it affects these terms directly — there's no separate vendor whose own terms could also apply to your upload, and no hop through someone else's servers between you and the result.
The tool is free and run on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee uptime, and country templates or size rules can be added, corrected or removed as authorities update their published requirements — we try to keep them current, not to freeze them in place.
We may update this page as the service changes. The date at the top is the version in force; continuing to use PassportNinja after an update means you accept the current version.
